For landscape owners and operators

Build Your 2027 Budget in One Day

Know if you’re undercharging, if you can pay yourself, and if you can afford the next hire.

Without a budget, every 2027 bid is a guess, and your overhead comes out of your profit. In this one-day workshop, led by landscape business owner and consultant Sahra Linnemann, you’ll build your full operating budget for next year and have confidence in your profits.

What you walk out with

  • Your full 2027 operating budget, built from your own financials, ready to run the business on
  • Your real net profit number, and the gap between it and where you want to be
  • The markup to put on every estimate so overhead gets paid for, not absorbed
  • A 90-day plan, so Monday morning you know what to change first
  • A method you can repeat, so next year’s budget is yours to build
  • 30 days of LMN access, with your budget already built inside it, and the ability to export your budget work

One day. Seven pieces of your 2027 budget.

1. The 7% problem. See the profit most landscape companies settle for, and how to build past it.

2. Your sales target. The revenue number that actually pays you, by division.

3. Your field labor. What a crew must produce to earn its wages, so “can I afford this raise?” gets a math answer.

4. Your equipment and materials. Price what it takes to own it, replace it and still profit.

5. Your subcontractors and overhead. The costs that never make it into an estimate.

6. The reveal. Your real net profit with benchmarks. Did you build a 10% business?

7. Your plan. The markup for every estimate and your first moves Monday morning.

You build each section yourself, with Sahra showing you the method, so next year’s budget is yours to build. All financials stay confidential.

Meet your host: Sahra Linnemann

Sahra Linnemann co-founded The Green Executive and Linnemann Lawncare & Landscaping. She built this budget for her own company and has taught hundreds of operators across Canada and the US to build theirs. She’ll walk you through the method, step by step, so you leave able to do it again.

LMN has helped landscapers build profitable budgets for over 15 years

LMN is business management software built for landscape companies, on the belief that you can’t run a profitable one without an operating budget. For more than 15 years, landscapers across North America have used it to build theirs.

In this workshop, you learn how it’s done and leave with your own budget to keep, whether or not you ever use LMN. No purchase required. We set up an LMN account for you before the day, and you have 30 days afterward to keep working on it. Current LMN customers build in their own account.

What you need to know

Who is this for?

Owner-operators who want a real budget, not a spreadsheet template, and who are ready to put their own numbers to work. If you want to grow and you’re ready to know exactly where you stand, there’s a seat for you.

Why a budget?

You hit your sales number and the year still ends tight. Usually it comes back to a sales target based on last year plus a little hope, field labor priced at the paycheck wage, equipment never priced to replace, and overhead and subcontractor costs that never make it into an estimate. A real budget puts all of it behind every price.

What do you need to bring?

Bring your own numbers. The budget is only as good as what you put in. A laptop is required to access the budgeting software (a free account). You will also need your financials from 2025 and 2026 to date. All financials will remain confidential. A list of exact financials to bring will be included in your registration email.

FAQ

What does it cost? $695 per ticket.

What’s included? A light breakfast, snacks and a hot lunch. No happy hour at this one.

Do I need a laptop? Yes. It’s required, because you build your budget in LMN during the day.

What do I need to bring? See the list above. Your financials, equipment list, payroll reports and insurance details matter most.

Is this a sales pitch? No hard sell. The day is about your numbers, and LMN is where your budget gets built.

Is there a minimum company size? No. It’s built for operators who want to grow.

Are my financials kept private? Yes. All financials stay confidential.

Do I need to be an LMN customer? No. If you’re not, we set up an LMN account for you. If you are, you build in your own.

What happens after 30 days? Your workshop account access ends, and you can export your budget work before then.

Your 2027 budget gets built either way.

Build it with your real numbers, in one day, with someone who has done it for her own company. Seats are limited in every city.
