The Most Successful Landscaping Companies Know Their Numbers, and Invest in their People

Today we’re launching a new and improved Greenius, with a vision to connect it to LMN.

After partnering with thousands of landscape operators, we’ve learned something about scaling a landscaping company: your first crew works because you built it. You trained those people yourself, you rode with them, and they know what you consider finished. Doing that again with a second crew, and then a third, is where you need a system. That’s why we’re investing further into the Greenius platform.

The two growth levers for landscape operators

Growth comes down to two things: winning jobs that make money, and doing work that impresses clients.

LMN helps businesses know their numbers and improve them. That remains one of the surest paths to profitable growth.

The second is your people. The companies that pull ahead in this industry tend to be building teams that are prepared to exceed expectations while running tighter operations. That requires a real investment in employee development, which is why we have rebuilt Greenius.

Introducing the new Greenius

Greenius is our employee development platform built to empower field crews to exceed expectations. It comes with 200+ pre-built training courses that we update constantly, every one available in English or Spanish, on a new mobile app for iOS and Android, so every employee is welcomed into your culture in the language they’re most comfortable in.

With Greenius you can:

  1. Build a culture of safety and growth that your employees love. Safety is a core pillar of the content in Greenius. Use Playlists to assign role-specific course series (hardscaping, maintenance, etc) or film custom courses of your own and add them to your company’s personalized library. Ultimately, the system ensures consistency across crews as you work to improve every day.
  2. Set high standards and give crews what they need to exceed them. Every new hire gets the same message from day one and existing employees receive updated training content as landscaping techniques evolve. Setup is fast: businesses have onboarded and had field crews training the same day, and a new hire can be in training in under five minutes.
  3. Keep records for when you need them. Completion records show who was trained, on what, and when. This is the kind of proof that holds up when an insurer asks, OSHA visits, or a customer complaint escalates. They also help you tell whether a mistake came from a knowledge gap or something else, since those call for different responses.

What we have seen so far

Landscapers have been running on the new Greenius for three months. Coastal Shores, a full-service landscaping company in Ridgeland, SC, was one of the early adopters.

“The new Greenius has helped us get to another level of quality, both individually and as a whole. It will have a big impact on the standards in the landscaping industry.” – Jessie Shrieve, Co-Owner of Coastal Shores

Setup was the easy part: “We’ve onboarded a lot of software platforms, and many of them are very clunky. Onboarding to Greenius was our easiest onboarding yet.”

Where we’re headed

Our goal from here is to bring Greenius and LMN closer together over time. The first phase is arriving this Fall. You will be able to open Greenius directly from LMN with one login. After that, we’ll look to connect the training to the work itself.

Ultimately, we want to empower field crews to impress clients, exceed expectations, and continuously learn while working with your company on our products. Your feedback will shape what that looks like.
