Shop Context

Rob Condon started cutting lawns in 2015, formed the LLC and left his day job to run the business full time in 2021. RC Solutions Landscaping, in North Central Massachusetts, runs about 75% maintenance and 25% snow removal work. Rob has kept the team lean and added one employee at a time – being intentional about how they grow. In two years since onboarding to LMN, the business has systems in place that save them time, they have profit that allows them to invest back into the business to grow it, and they’re sustainably building a business that has potential to be a multi-million dollar business in the next 2-3 years.

RC Solutions’ Journey to LMN

Rob first ran the business on pen & paper, but quickly saw the need to get organized. Yardbook was affordable and provided the basics they needed to start with a software solution. Rob’s work ethic and attention to detail quickly led him to the realization that Yardbook was falling short. They needed a system that could get more dialed in with his businesses’ costs and the different types of clients he had. With Yardbook, the numbers rarely lined up with what his crew reported.

“It was like playing a sports game and not keeping score,” he said. “How do you know if you’re winning? How do you know if you’re doing good? Our system wasn’t helping us keep score.”

He found LMN in the Spring of 2024 by looking at what relatively larger, more established operators were doing. “I was always told to find mentors. If you don’t know how to do it, find the person that knows how to do it, and you can learn a lot from them.”

The Change Was Hard but Necessary

Evolving how Rob & his team operated took time – especially as they were still establishing their business. “It was like drinking from a garden hose to drinking from a fire hose,” Rob said. It took dedicated focus time for things to click.

The lesson: a business doesn’t need to be big to use LMN, but it does need to invest the time to learn the concepts behind it, starting with getting organized so the business can learn its numbers and understand how to act on that information. Once RC Solutions did that, the real impact of LMN became obvious.

Growth Requires Investment in Systems & Details

RC Solutions is on pace to double its revenue in two years, and Rob credits the systems he built in LMN. “Everything’s laid out in front of you. It’s centralized. It’s repeatable,” he said. Estimate templates carry equipment, materials, and labor hours, with an analysis tab showing cost, overhead, and margin before he sends a price to a client.

“I need to make, say, $2,500 for this job. If I’m quoting it less, then there’s no point in doing it. I’m losing money right off the bat.” That clarity lets Rob focus on the jobs that are actually profitable and reinvest in new equipment, staff, and better systems.

Time Back

Templates and centralized records replaced writing numbers down, calling vendors, and double-checking pricing. Finding a client’s history or the latest price now takes minutes. Rob’s bookkeeper has direct access to LMN and pulls an 18-page report for forecasting.

“We can forecast, we can make changes. We can adapt and improve day to day.”

Bringing On a Dedicated Admin

Invoicing was always the task that slipped. “It has always been the last thing,” Rob said. “I’m so focused on getting a job done, trying to keep up with sales.” In February 2026, he brought on Angela as an admin who hit the ground running. “LMN was a lot to learn to start. Once I started working in the system, things started to click for me,” Angela said.

Rob views this decision as an incredible investment in the businesses’ growth. “You need to empower people to replace you, to buy back your time, to work on the business, not in it, and keep growing it.” With Angela handling more of the back office, Rob has started shifting toward working on the business, including investing in his own education as an owner / operator including attending Equip Expo, LMN Academy Bootcamp, and a stop on Granum’s Break Records Tour this year.

More Consistent Cash Flow Feels Good

Now with Angela bringing consistency to invoicing, RC Solutions recently onboarded to LMN Pay, powered by Stripe and now with clients keeping cards on file through the customer portal, they’ve improved cashflow. “It’s nice seeing twenty invoices all charged at once, and you know the money’s on the way to the bank,” Rob said. “What a great feeling.”

RC Solutions Believes in the Granum Partnership

Rob is leaning into opportunities to test out new features in LMN. He’s part of the beta program for AI Data Insights – a not-yet released feature that allows business owners to ask questions about their business data and get actionable information. “We can just ask, ‘show me the invoices from the past thirty days that are late,’ and it gives us the list right there. It’s quick and easy.”

He sees the investment Granum is making into the product. “It’s clear after hearing Mark Sedgley talk and seeing the updates in LMN that the whole team is just pouring their heart and soul into the program. You don’t see that with the other software companies.”

Rob’s three to five year target is to hit the $3M mark, and he’s confident that Granum is going to be supporting them on that journey.

Rob’s Advice to Other Owners Starting Out

His advice to smaller businesses: “LMN is for everyone. If you’re a one-man show cutting eight or ten lawns a week, it’s going to give you the base to start. And then it gives you the opportunity to expand into more systems, more needs, and it’s going to give you that roadmap to go from just starting out to having a $50 million company. You just need to spend the time, invest, and set it up for the way you want to see your future.”
